Dr. Nilendu Sarma is an experienced, senior and accomplished Dermatologist and Cosmetologist, currently designated as Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Dr B C Roy Post Graduate Institute of Pediatric Sciences in Kolkata. He can be consulted by appointment at the Trez Dermatology, GD Hospital, Belle Vue Clinic, all based in Kolkata. Dr. Sarma has an MBBS and an MD in Dermatology as his qualifications.

Dr. Nilendu Sarma has worked on a large number of research studies over the years and has authored or co-authored numerous papers that have been published in peer-reviewed, indexed journals. He has contributed chapters to textbooks and written/edited a couple of books of his own as well. Dr. Sarma is Deputy Editor of the Indian Journal of Dermatology, and serves on the editorial board or as a reviewer for several other Indian and international publications. At the local level, he writes regularly on health-related topics in Bengali magazines.
Dr. Sarma has functioned as an office-bearer of various associations and bodies connected to his field, and assisted in the organisation of regional and national conferences. He is involved in the area of training and has been regularly teaching undergraduate (MBBS) and post-graduate (Dermatology) students since 2006. He has also been invited as guest faculty to make presentations or deliver lectures at various medical conferences and symposia connected to his area of expertise, in India as well as overseas. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships for his continuous contributions in his field.
Dr. Sarma has made concerted efforts to help the community with activities that include giving awareness lectures on radio, attending charitable clinics twice a week, conducting free health camps with free medicines twice a year, etc.
